Project Brief: Create a compelling 30-second to 1-minute for a nonprofit or social cause of your choice that Informs the audience about a real issue, Persuades them to care, and Motivates them to take a specific action.

Solutions + Lessons Learned: As the audience for this project is the 14-18 year old girls that can benefit from Oasis For Girls’ programming, I wanted the PSA to be accessible, as well as warm and inviting. To accomplish this, I created it in a 1:1 square format for social media, used the brand colors in a cute watercolor background, and added V/O narration from a warm, strong, and encouraging mentor-like voice.

My Favorite Part: I really enjoyed the sound design on this project. I chose to use ElevenLabs AI narrator generator, and prompted it to create a voiceover that I tailored very specifically to this project. I was meticulous in dialing in the voice to sound not only human, but also to feel like an older friend that genuinely wants the viewer to succeed. For the background music, I chose an instrumental version of the song “Rise Up” by Andra Day, a perfect thematic match for the piece!
